Ken Buchanan MBE, thank you

As Scottish sports fans celebrated a memorable week of football and those remarkable young men who played at Hampden we must now set aside celebrations and honour a true Scottish sporting great.‍ I am no boxing aficionado but I can still remember what it meant as a wee lad to see a tartan-clad Scot on our TV as a champion of the world, live from the almost mythical Madison Square Garden.‍ But all reports of Ken Buchanan not only describe his sporting prowess but also the dignity and humble way he lived his life.‍ We need examples in our world today to share with the next generation of Scots who we want to "conquer the world" and I can think of no matter example than Ken Buchanan.
