MSME Day was designated by the United Nations to raise awareness of the crucial role of micro-, small and medium-sized enterprises in the achievement of the 2030 Agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals.
This year it fell on 27th June 2022 with the theme of “Resilience and Rebuilding: MSMEs for sustainable development at the forefront of building back better and stronger from the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, climate crisis and conflicts".
As Founding Chair of the Scottish Business Network and Founding Director of the Net Zero Nation, Russell Dalgleish was honoured to share his experience in utilising a global network to support smaller companies achieve international success. With MSMEs accounting for 90% of businesses, 60-70% of employment and 50% of GDP worldwide, the insights from this year’s fifth anniversary event is of significant importance to us all.
