As part of the incredibly exciting Scottish International Week 2022, the Scottish Business Network partnered with Digital DNA on 28th September at the SEC Glasgow. This city-first event was backed by the Scottish Government and Glasgow City Council to support and accelerate Glasgow's vibrant technology ecosystem. The event included key notes from global industry leaders, live Q&A sessions, networking opportunities, and a thriving start-up zone attracting key players from Scotland’s tech, digital and creative industries.

"I must congratulate Simon Bailie and the entire Digital DNA team for their delivery of an excellent event at the SEC yesterday. My lasting memory from the day will be the dynamism in the room and the enthusiasm from all involved. The real star of course was Glasgow as represented by the thriving tech community of entrepreneurs, investors, innovators, policymakers and education leaders." - Russell Dalgleish

Over 900 attendees from across the Scottish tech ecosystem and plenty of SBN members were present on stands, stage and start-up area. The SBN exhibition stand was a hub of activity and Russell Dalgleish, Christine Esson and Fiona McKinnon took to the stage to share the benefits of becoming part of the Scottish Business Network.

"As a voluntary organisation we don't have the funds to financially contribute to the success of a conference, instead what we can offer is our time, and in return, Simon and his team provided Scottish Business Network, our members and supporters with a super vehicle to highlight Scotland's international ambitions." - Russell Dalgleish
"My favourite quote of last week was from the always inspiring and networking Christine Esson; ‘Opportunities don’t exist out there on their own, opportunities are attached to people’. It’s so true and why I had such a great week back up in Scotland for Scottish International Week." - Fiona McKinnon of the Moment Company.

Russell also joined 'The Great Debate' on unlocking regional innovation and interviewed successful international Ukrainian investor Peter Chernyshov to discuss the challenges facing Ukrainian Tech Companies and the support provided by Scotland.

"The talent is here, we just need to be more creative on how we recruit and retain it" - Russell Dalgleish on the opportunities, talents and skills within Scotland.
