Russell, key team members of the Scottish Business Network and the SBN Tartan Challenge winners, joined with Scots from across the US and Canada to celebrate Tartan Day 2024.

This is a unique event which takes place on April 6th every year when those of Scottish descent remember and share their appreciation of their roots, by marching 6th Avenue accompanied by Pipe Bands and Highland Dancers. Here's a clip of Russell sharing the touching atmosphere at the 26th annual Tartan Day Parade in New York.

"As a guest in NY, and an active entrepreneur/investor I use this as an opportunity to deepen relationships with my existing network and make new connections. New York is the perfect location to achieve this as it is a city built for business. The speed with which trust is established, deals are agreed and projects commence here is startling. There is nowhere else on the planet that operates like New York but to take advantage of the rich opportunities you must be prepared to work harder than you ever have and at a speed which can risk blowing you away. You need to demonstrate stamina, be able to imagine "the possible" and follow up to demonstrate your commitment. This is not a city for the shy, retiring soul. You have to be ready to pull on your kilt, hold your head high and not allow this city to intimidate you." - Russell Dalgleish, Founding Chair of SBN.
