The ultimate purpose of the World Business Angels Investment Forum (WBAF) is to ease access to finance across all demographics and promote the importance of digital inclusion. As such, the WBAF has 1,368 partners across 132 countries, contributing to the development of world economies through its various initiatives.

From 20th – 26th June 2022, the World Business Angel Investors Week welcomed more than 20,000 participants including entrepreneurs, startups, SMEs, investors, innovators, policymakers and thought leaders from around the world – all online. These included 320 keynote speakers, 765 distinguished panel speakers, speeches by 32 ministers, 6 prime ministers and 12 presidents! The event was coordinated globally by The World Business Angels Investment Forum and is an affiliated partner of the G20 Global Partnership for Financial Inclusion (GPFI).

World business angel investors week is envisioned as a great platform where all stakeholders pause to assess their fast-paced journey, to analyse why and how we should leverage angel investment as a must-have financial tool for boosting economies, and to reiterate how entrepreneurial ecosystems can create more jobs, more wealth and more social justice in co-operation with key players in early-stage equity markets. It is celebrated every year, under a global theme. - angelsweek.org
